The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Prospero Maidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Elpidio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Garcia hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Gaspar Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Elpidio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaias Calixto during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Isaias Calixto hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Iker Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Ostots saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iker Niva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Elpidio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Ostots showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Niva in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barrialito's Isaias Calixto got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 24th minute Herminio Avellaneda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Lizardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ianchus's zone, Herminio Avellaneda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Lizardi came out of the goal and Herminio Avellaneda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Lizardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Errando in the 30th minute of the match. Iker Niva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Ostots having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Prospero Maidana notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Barrialito's Elpidio Ostots. Elpidio Ostots was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iker Niva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Ostots having to interfere. Prospero Maidana scored 2-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elpidio Ostots, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Txatxu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Ianchus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Maidana to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrialito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iker Niva was slow to take the kick. During this time Ianchus's players had a chance to rest. 59 minutes into the match, Ianchus's goalkeeper Freddy Lizardi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Avellaneda. Manuel Bernebe took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Lizardi. Freddy Lizardi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Iker Niva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Niva in the 70th minute of play forced Barrialito's goalkeeper Elpidio Ostots to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Bernebe during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Bernebe hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Iker Niva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Barrialito's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Maidana came free, but Elpidio Ostots reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Barrialito's Freddy Lizardi threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manuel Bernebe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Barrialito's zone, Prospero Maidana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Ostots came out of the goal and Prospero Maidana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barrialito's Elpidio Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Niva in the 88th minute of play. When Prospero Maidana came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ianchus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Maidana couldn't finish the play. Prospero Maidana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
