Isaac Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Evelio Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ocelot's Ubaldo Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Iratzeder in the 10th minute of play. If Filiberto Beila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Otsando in the 15th minute of play. The corner led Ocelot's Isaac Otsando to fire away a dangerous shot which Evelio Vela despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Americo Iratzeder got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ubaldo Christobal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 18 played minutes Guzmán FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Dalmu. The supporters of Ocelot booed when Guzmán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Blasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filiberto Beila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Vela having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Ocelot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Abadia to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Hugo Dalmu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ubaldo Christobal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guzmán FC's Evelio Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Beila in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Americo Iratzeder to make the kick off. Hugo Dalmu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Rodrigo Amaya in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ocelot's Flavio Jago. Evelio Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Beila in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Isaac Otsando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ocelot's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Otsando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Vela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evelio Vela made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Isaac Otsando sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Isaac Otsando sped through Guzmán FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evelio Vela. In the 68th match minute, Ocelot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Mogel to maneuver through the defense. If Alejandro Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ocelot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvestre Dei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Isaac Otsando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Vela having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Guzmán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Beila came free, but Evelio Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ocelot were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
