Médano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrio Facultad the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Médano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Harri to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes Barrio Facultad got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Iztal. After 27 played minutes, Médano FC's Pedro Gonchan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zbyszko Kiewra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Médano FC reached it. Zbyszko Kiewra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Gonza in the 29th minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Miguel Guerrero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Médano FC and the Barrio Facultad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Feliciano Ospetsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Dario Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrio Facultad's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Piearres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliciano Ospetsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victorino Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Feliciano Ospetsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Illart to make the kick off. Higinio Claude kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Médano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Illart came free, but Feliciano Ospetsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Dario Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot.
