The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Florencio Lico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Illart in the 8th minute of the match. David Endura hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match, Dario Piearres got a very nice opportunity to score, but Florencio Lico was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Cacharí getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Everardo Felipo hit a great ball. Evaristo Quinteros hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Dario Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Lico having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match Gervasio Baladi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florencio Lico showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Erubiel Cordara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Kiewra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbyszko Kiewra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Cordara in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Illart in the 38th minute of play forced Cacharí's goalkeeper Florencio Lico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes, Cacharí's Arnoldo Abascal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zbyszko Kiewra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cacharí reached it.

The wind increased when Victorino Illart made the kick off in the second half. If Dario Piearres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florencio Lico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Illart in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Barrio Facultad getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Higinio Claude hit a great ball. Cacharí's Florencio Lico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Illart in the 68th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Cacharí's Zbyszko Kiewra threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Furtado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Barrio Facultad booed when Cacharí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Mundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Florencio Lico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Dario Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrio Facultad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Piearres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Lico having to interfere. Zbyszko Kiewra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erubiel Cordara in the 88th minute. Zbyszko Kiewra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute Victorino Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrio Facultad's Dario Piearres got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cacharí getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Ivan Frechoso hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
