A very good chance for a goal. 8 minutes into the match, Marco Ruben FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Argina came free, but Pastor Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Ferran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Eztebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Cirilo Pacho hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Pastor Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Todor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Gregorio Eztebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Cecilio Darien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pastor Acevedo. Marco Ruben FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Darien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gonzalo Astigar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ensenada's Remigio Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Eztebe in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Domingo Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gregorio Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the match, Marco Ruben FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Bizi came free, but Pastor Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Ensenada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Abajas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Abastas in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Ferran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Marco Ruben FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ensenada were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorio Eztebe to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Eztebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gregorio Eztebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marco Ruben FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Eztebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Ferran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remigio Ferran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Astigar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Gregorio Eztebe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Ferran was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gregorio Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregorio Eztebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Remigio Ferran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Ruben FC's German Abastas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cecilio Darien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Bizi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pastor Acevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pastor Acevedo was a little too slow when Cecilio Darien got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-2. After 82 played minutes Marco Ruben FC got a freekick which was hit by German Abastas. Remigio Ferran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Garaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gregorio Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigio Ferran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Garaona went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 92nd match minute, Ensenada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Argina to maneuver through the defense. Marco Ruben FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
