Eloy Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Primeiro in the 4th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, SanMartinSJ's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Urdaspal came free, but Jan Borchersen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as SanMartinSJ's Rafael Chumo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eloy Karmel. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. After 17 played minutes Yacuchirí FC got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Inko. 18 minutes into the match, Silverio Osasun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Karmel. Yacuchirí FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silverio Osasun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Yacuchirí FC's zone, Silverio Osasun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Karmel came out of the goal and Silverio Osasun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eloy Karmel was a little too slow when Rafael Chumo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. Lázaro Danel's late challenge caught a Yacuchirí FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Danel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SanMartinSJ's Lázaro Danel got a free kick in the 30th minute. 38 minutes into the game, one of Yacuchirí FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Victoriano Emenon shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Rafael Chumo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rafael Chumo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SanMartinSJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Chumo couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Yacuchirí FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silverio Osasun fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edelmiro Urdaspal to make the kick off. Rafael Chumo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Eloy Karmel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SanMartinSJ. Rafael Chumo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yacuchirí FC's Eloy Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Chumo in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Victoriano Emenon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eloy Karmel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Virgilio Iraitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Yacuchirí FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Iraitz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Silverio Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot. SanMartinSJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Osasun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Karmel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Silverio Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot. SanMartinSJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Osasun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Karmel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 86 minutes, Rafael Chumo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SanMartinSJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Chumo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 minutes, Arnulfo Frutos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yacuchirí FC and the SanMartinSJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnulfo Frutos hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogelio Cilio during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yacuchirí FC booed when SanMartinSJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Cilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. SanMartinSJ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
