The supporters of Hurlingham FC booed when Melo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Joseph didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hurlingham FC's Raimundo Merexildo in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melo's goalie prevented a goal. Damaso Cordarryl struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Ignacio Vigil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurlingham FC. Roberto Rosario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Curcio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Roberto Rosario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Venceslas in the 9th minute of play. Damaso Cordarryl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Vigil having to interfere. Raimundo Merexildo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 17thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Melo's keeper Ignacio Vigil was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Benedicto Stephen hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Hurlingham FC's Roberto Rosario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Venceslas in the 20th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hurlingham FC's goalie and right to Damaso Frisco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hurlingham FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Curcio in the 27th minute of play forced Hurlingham FC's goalkeeper Roberto Rosario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Melo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Igor Cordera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Fabricio Jerardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Rosario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Venceslas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A collision led to Hurlingham FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Godofredo Chaime hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Venceslas in the 39th minute of play forced Hurlingham FC's goalkeeper Roberto Rosario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Melo's Eugenio Curcio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Rosario was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jimeno Pereyra took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Rosario. Roberto Rosario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Roberto Rosario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Venceslas's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio Curcio was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Igor Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Vigil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Jimeno Pereyra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hurlingham FC the free kick. A collision led to Melo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jimeno Pereyra hit a great ball. With his leg Roberto Rosario managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Melo's Denis Venceslas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61st match minute, Hurlingham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Chaime to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Rosario was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eugenio Curcio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Cordarryl in the 68th minute of play forced Melo's goalkeeper Ignacio Vigil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Igor Cordera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute of the match Benedicto Stephen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ignacio Vigil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ivan Gutxi charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Gutxi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Melo! The referee gave Hurlingham FC a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Justino Telesforo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Melo's Ignacio Vigil. 1-3. With a little luck, Hurlingham FC's Roberto Rosario got control of the ball when Denis Venceslas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute Jimeno Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Rosario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Sal in the 89th minute. Ignacio Vigil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Cordera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damaso Frisco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Rosario. Hurlingham FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Melo's Ignacio Vigil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Chan in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Melo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
