Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hurlingham FC's Raimundo Merexildo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Baltasar Chan could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Jesus Vincent however easily saved by the left post. Raimundo Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Rosario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Muc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Rosario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nunez Avellaneda went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 16 minutes into the match, Baltasar Chan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesus Vincent. Gimnasia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltasar Chan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cordera in the 20th minute of play forced Gimnasia's goalkeeper Jesus Vincent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Raimundo Merexildo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Hurlingham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Merexildo couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Gimnasia's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Cordera came free, but Jesus Vincent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Vincent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Merexildo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Hurlingham FC's Fabricio Jerardo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Hurlingham FC's Raimundo Merexildo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia's Primitivo Senon got a free kick in the 44th minute. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Merexildo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jesus Vincent was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Nunez Avellaneda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Rosario was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nunez Avellaneda to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Raimundo Merexildo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gimnasia's Jesus Vincent was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Damaso Cordarryl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurlingham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Cordarryl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Vincent breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Raimundo Merexildo fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hurlingham FC's protests and gave Raimundo Merexildo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Raimundo Merexildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raimundo Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Gimnasia's Hipolito Muc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. But to his dismay, Hipolito Muc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. 76 minutes into the match, Gimnasia's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Cordarryl came free, but Jesus Vincent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Fabricio Jerardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-5. Jesus Vincent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baltasar Chan scored 5-5 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesus Vincent, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raimundo Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesus Vincent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Merexildo in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Merexildo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesus Vincent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 played minutes, Hurlingham FC's Justino Telesforo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jesus Vincent came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hurlingham FC reached it. Hurlingham FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Gimnasia to leave the ground with a draw.
