Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Saguier AFC's Jonas Uxio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Artemio Gau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rumiñahui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saguier AFC the free kick. Artemio Gau kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Rumiñahui's Epifanio Bras got control of the ball when Arsenio Mergildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Uxio in the 6th minute of play forced Rumiñahui's goalkeeper Epifanio Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Jonas Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Bras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saguier AFC's Jonas Uxio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorio Senio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Otsando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Bras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Uxio, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Rumiñahui's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Uxio came free, but Epifanio Bras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Narciso Transito fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rumiñahui's protests and gave Narciso Transito a yellow card for diving instead. 20 minutes into the game, one of Rumiñahui:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Saguier AFC. Carlos Eate stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Epifanio Bras. 1-0. Narciso Frasquito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Victorio Senio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rosendo Sidro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victorio Senio having to make a save. When Vinicio Otsando fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rumiñahui's protests and gave Vinicio Otsando a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Saguier AFC booed when Rumiñahui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Otsando didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Narciso Transito put in a rough tackle. In the 37th match minute, Rumiñahui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Transito to maneuver through the defense. Amado Jobo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Uxio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Uxio in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Arsenio Mergildo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Epifanio Bras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Narciso Frasquito made the kick off in the second half. Rumiñahui's Epifanio Bras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Mergildo in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Teobaldo Pancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 56 minutes, Teobaldo Pancho made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rumiñahui's Epifanio Bras tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Amado Jobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Frasquito got free with Victorio Senio in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Valentine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arsenio Mergildo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Saguier AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Mergildo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arsenio Mergildo during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Saguier AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Mergildo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Saguier AFC's zone, Astor Lalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Senio came out of the goal and Astor Lalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas Uxio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Bras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. When Saguier AFC's Arsenio Mergildo in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rumiñahui's goalie prevented a goal. There was no doubt that Saguier AFC were the better team. Saguier AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
