Celso Gonzalez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Los Leales booed when Riverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Ur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago García struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Filomeno Ospin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riverpool. Santiago García received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Filomeno Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Los Leales's goalkeeper Filomeno Ospin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago García. Eliseo Igon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Celso Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Igon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Riverpool got a freekick which was hit by Albino Louis. 26 minutes into the game, Riverpool's Santiago García nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Ospin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Filomeno Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago García, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Balesio during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Generoso Balesio hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Prudencio Veronica came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Los Leales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Veronica couldn't finish the play. Elpidio Ur hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, Gavino Ubelteso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Leales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riverpool the free kick. After 38 played minutes Los Leales got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Ubelteso. Eliseo Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Santiago García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago García in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filomeno Ospin saved Los Leales from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago García made a kick off. Prudencio Veronica's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eliseo Igon firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eliseo Igon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Leales's Filomeno Ospin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago García in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Santiago García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes Los Leales's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Esdras who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Esdras got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filomeno Ospin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Santiago García might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Ospin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago García ran back to his position shaking his head. Celso Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Igon having to interfere. Los Leales's Filomeno Ospin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago García in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Esdras in the 76th minute of play forced Los Leales's goalkeeper Filomeno Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago García struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Filomeno Ospin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riverpool. A beautiful save bye Los Leales's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Santiago García put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Filomeno Ospin. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Riverpool fully deserved thier win.
