Dionisio Beat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Bernabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Armando Beti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Basail's Leandro Cerilo got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Anmasan FC booed when Basail was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Beti got free with Clodoveo Cai in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Basail's zone, Mateo Furman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Cai came out of the goal and Mateo Furman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The corner led to Anmasan FC's Osvaldo Fanuco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Mateo Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Marcos Quintan put in a rough tackle. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Basail! Mateo Furman shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Armando Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Mateo Furman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clodoveo Cai was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Nunez Segio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anmasan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Segio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Cai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Furman in the 59th minute of play forced Basail's goalkeeper Clodoveo Cai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Anmasan FC booed when Basail was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Iratxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clodoveo Cai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Natal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
