In the 3rd minute of the match, Ernesto Ekain tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernabe Jokin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ariel Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Urti in the 8th minute of play. Filiberto Eladio kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ariel Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Ferman in the 14th minute of the match. Gabriel Ferman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Millan having to interfere. Bernabe Jokin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Ekain in the 23rd minute of the match. After 23 minutes, Marcos Gonsalvo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curapaligüé FC and the ateneo.f.c. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcos Gonsalvo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Teodoro Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ariel Millan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Veronica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute of the match Curapaligüé FC got a corner. ateneo.f.c.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felix Sandalio ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Curapaligüé FC's corner Felix Sandalio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ariel Millan quite easily take care of the ball. Pastor Gelmiro struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ariel Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curapaligüé FC. In the 31st minute, ateneo.f.c.'s Ernesto Ekain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernabe Jokin. Bernabe Jokin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Ariel Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Sandalio in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the ateneo.f.c. defense, Felix Sandalio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Millan. The ateneo.f.c. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Millan should have stopped the shot. Ariel Millan came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Curapaligüé FC's Teodoro Veronica. But to his dismay, Teodoro Veronica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in ateneo.f.c.'s zone, Octavio Urti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Millan came out of the goal and Octavio Urti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Ferman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ariel Millan made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Curapaligüé FC's Felix Sandalio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Millan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Curapaligüé FC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after ateneo.f.c.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felix Sandalio took the corner. Felix Sandalio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ariel Millan made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Filiberto Eladio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Octavio Urti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Millan was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. If Teodoro Veronica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Sandalio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ariel Millan came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Sandalio slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 75th minute. In the 79th match minute, ateneo.f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Raphael to maneuver through the defense. ateneo.f.c.'s Ariel Millan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save ateneo.f.c. from getting a goal against them. After having played for 88 minutes, Octavio Urti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curapaligüé FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Urti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 minutes, Filiberto Eladio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ateneo.f.c. and the Curapaligüé FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filiberto Eladio kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Ferman in the 93rd minute of play forced ateneo.f.c.'s goalkeeper Ariel Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ateneo.f.c. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Curapaligüé FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
