Miromir Dejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Isidoro Arnau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Miromir Dejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Isidoro Arnau sped through Inti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miromir Dejo. After some careless play in the Duendes defense, Elvio Cristofol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobaldo Nafarroa. The Duendes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobaldo Nafarroa should have stopped the shot. If Isidoro Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. Inti's Miromir Dejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Arnau in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Fabricio Norino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Ordono got free with Miromir Dejo in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inti's Miromir Dejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Arnau in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elvio Cristofol to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Elvio Cristofol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Cristofol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Inti's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Ordono came free, but Miromir Dejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Duendes's zone, Jonas Favila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Nafarroa came out of the goal and Jonas Favila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Elvio Cristofol put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Teobaldo Nafarroa. The supporters of Duendes booed when Inti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teobaldo Nafarroa was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Elvio Cristofol capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elvio Cristofol really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Luciano Ordono took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miromir Dejo. Miromir Dejo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Inti's Miromir Dejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Ordono in the 84th minute of play. Luciano Ordono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miromir Dejo having to interfere. Isidoro Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isidoro Arnau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Miromir Dejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Isidoro Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Duendes manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Inti to win.
