The tension between the Tucumana and the Devoto players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tucumana's Romulo Jacindo got a free kick in the 9th minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baltasar Montez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Feliciano Artal might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Hibai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliciano Artal ran back to his position shaking his head. Salvador Lohitzun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pascual Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Montez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Bemabe in the 27th minute. Edelmiro Maidana charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edelmiro Maidana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Devoto's Edelmiro Maidana got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Tucumana were awarded a corner. Inocencio Videl went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Tucumana booed when Devoto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Artal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Bela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 68th minute of the match Marciano Markel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marciano Markel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Baltasar Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Bemabe, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anacleto Argi during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 73 minutes into the game, one of Devoto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Inocencio Videl shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Pedro Bemabe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Nicolas Bela notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Devoto's Baltasar Montez. Baltasar Montez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Bemabe struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Baltasar Montez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucumana. Pedro Bemabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliciano Artal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pascual Hibai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Devoto players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tucumana.
