The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raimundo Quinto's late challenge caught a Arequito AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Quinto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carnerillo getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Raimundo Quinto hit a great ball. Roberto Jerold kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Raimundo Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Raimundo Quinto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Abaunza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 20th minute, Filomeno Lain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Jerold charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Jerold the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 32 in the game by Reynaldo Martxel from a close distance when the talented Fausto Vermudo managed to make a qualified save. Carnerillo's players were relieved. Reynaldo Martxel had several of the Carnerillo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Fausto Vermudo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Fausto Vermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyril Villeret in the 37th minute of play. Reynaldo Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fausto Vermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 41 in the game by Andres Mikeldi from a close distance when the talented Fausto Vermudo managed to make a qualified save. Carnerillo's players were relieved. In the 42nd minute Cyril Villeret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Vermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Quinto made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyril Villeret in the 52nd minute of play forced Carnerillo's goalkeeper Fausto Vermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Carnerillo getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Vicente Boniel hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Leonel Quentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes, Carnerillo's Vicente Boniel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Conrado Abaunza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carnerillo reached it. 66 minutes into the match, Cyril Villeret had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Vermudo. Carnerillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cyril Villeret was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 75th match minute, Arequito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyril Villeret to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Andrea hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
