Artemio Gonsalve took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Americo Errapel. Campanas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leon Salamon came free in the 9th minute and tried to tip the ball over Americo Errapel, but to the joy of Campanas's supporters the ball went over. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Mero in the 15th minute of play forced Gonzalez Catan's goalkeeper Baldomero Oidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Mero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baldomero Oidor came out and tried to block the shot, but Benjamin Mero slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Jonas Quexal kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Baldomero Oidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Mero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Nereo Emenon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Americo Errapel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Salamon in the 27th minute of the match. Nereo Piearres kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Bero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Americo Errapel. Campanas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Bero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 34th minute of the match, Hernan Salomone got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baldomero Oidor was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 37th minute, Hernan Salomone fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 40th minute, Rodrigo Bero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Americo Errapel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. With a little luck, Gonzalez Catan's Baldomero Oidor got control of the ball when Hernan Salomone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernan Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Oidor having to interfere. Rodrigo Bero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Bero made a kick off. The supporters of Gonzalez Catan booed when Campanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalez Catan's Leon Salamon got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Campanas getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fermin Oso hit a great ball. Americo Errapel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Salamon in the 58th minute. Nereo Emenon's late challenge caught a Gonzalez Catan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nereo Emenon helped the player get up and apologised. Campanas's Americo Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Bero in the 64th minute of play. Leon Salamon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Americo Errapel made a huge save. Nemesio Abechuco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Americo Errapel made a huge save. When Armando Rico fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campanas's protests and gave Armando Rico a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Campanas getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Armando Rico hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Campanas got a freekick which was hit by Armando Rico. Americo Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Americo Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Bero in the 85th minute of play. Leon Salamon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Americo Errapel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Campanas's Jonas Quexal got a free kick in the 90th minute. Arnulfo Elodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Americo Errapel made a huge save. During the 93rd minute of the match Nereo Emenon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nereo Emenon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 94 played minutes Campanas got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Emenon. Gonzalez Catan were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
