The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Americo Errapel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benjamin Mero might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over German Mederi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Mero ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Dúrham defense, Benjamin Mero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of German Mederi. The Dúrham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that German Mederi should have stopped the shot. Americo Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Macario, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sergio Clementi charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Americo Errapel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Hernan Salomone scored 2-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of German Mederi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Campanas's Hernan Salomone got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Campanas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Salamon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Dúrham booed when Campanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Mederi having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Campanas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
