Bartolo Illart might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Lonzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Illart ran back to his position shaking his head. 5 minutes into the match, Bartolo Illart dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximino Lonzo, 1-0. Hornillos AFC's Bartolo Illart got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 minutes, Americo Stanislao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laprida FC and the Hornillos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Laprida FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Americo Stanislao hit a great ball. In the 21st match minute, Hornillos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Foro to maneuver through the defense. Bartolo Illarts short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Maximino Lonzo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Laprida FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hornillos AFC:s goal. 33 minutes into the game, Eduardo Caetano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laprida FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hornillos AFC the free kick. A collision led to Laprida FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Eduardo Caetano hit a great ball. Hornillos AFC's Bartolo Illart came free and shot a quick shot against goal 34 minutes in the game, fortunately Maximino Lonzo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Bartolo Illart did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Maximino Lonzo 36 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Hornillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Stanislao came free, but Damian Milio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hornillos AFC's Filomeno Handi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Carlos Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Laprida FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Damian Milio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Laprida FC's Maximino Lonzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Illart in the 64th minute of play. If Mauricio Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Bartolo Illart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hornillos AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Bartolo Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Maximino Lonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eduardo Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Stanislao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Milio having to interfere. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hornillos AFC! When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, Laprida FC's Domingos Ignatius got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Damian Milio. In the 100th minute, Jacobo Weather hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 101 minutes into the match, Domingos Ignatius sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Damian Milio threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Domingos Ignatius this time. For all the effort they put into the match, the Laprida FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hornillos AFC.
