Juan Elequemedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Quin having to interfere. Jonas Quin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Elequemedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Gurutz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hipolito Castulo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Los Pibes F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Castulo to maneuver through the defense. In the 40thth minute of the game Erubiel Cordaryal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potrerillos's Jonas Quin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erubiel Cordaryal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Quin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when Erubiel Cordaryal made the kick off in the second half. Los Pibes F.C.'s Zdzislaw Kornecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Tartalo in the 51st minute of play. Erubiel Cordaryal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Quin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Potrerillos's zone, Juan Elequemedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Quin came out of the goal and Juan Elequemedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Elequemedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jonas Quin made a huge save. Juan Elequemedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvano Benvido charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Benvido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Los Pibes F.C.. Filiberto Inguma stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonas Quin. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Azubeli during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Potrerillos's Aristides Azubeli got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Rigoberto Ganix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pibes F.C.'s zone, Rigoberto Ganix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zdzislaw Kornecki came out of the goal and Rigoberto Ganix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Potrerillos's Jonas Quin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Potrerillos from getting a goal against them. Juan Elequemedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jonas Quin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Leopoldo Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th match minute, Potrerillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. In the 99th minute of the match Filiberto Inguma shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Quin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Los Pibes F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Pibes F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
