After having played for 9 minutes, Cirilo Enetz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Palomar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirilo Enetz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Silvanito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Frans Kock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Palmar getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Carlos Valery hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palmar's zone, Cirilo Enetz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Kock came out of the goal and Cirilo Enetz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frans Kock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Enetz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Justo Nofre hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Albano Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Beti hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gustavo Silvanito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gervasio Pitin's late challenge caught a Palmar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gervasio Pitin helped the player get up and apologised. When Albano Cesaro came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Palmar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Cesaro couldn't finish the play. If Venancio Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 72nd minute of the match Gervasio Pitin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gervasio Pitin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 73 played minutes El Palomar FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Pitin. 74 minutes into the match, Palmar's Alejandro Rosalio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gustavo Silvanito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frans Kock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Palmar booed when El Palomar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Hernando didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Palmar's Gilberto Ignatius got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Ignatius during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Ignatius kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, El Palomar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Oxarra came free, but Cristobal Roano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Palomar FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Palmar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
