Agustin Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Llin, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Pastor Euloxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Teodoro Gartzen suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 16 played minutes La Academia de Juarez got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Euloxu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavino Orlan during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Pastor Euloxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Remigio Cambranes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Upinango AFC's Feliciano Oihenarte got control of the ball when Eliseo Ilixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Remigio Cambranes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Juan Estevon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliciano Oihenarte. Upinango AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Estevon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 46th minute, Dalmacio Petrigai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Cambranes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Alejandro Rik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliciano Oihenarte skillfully saved the ball. Pastor Euloxu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliciano Oihenarte having to make a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Estevon couldn't finish the play.
