Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) German Jokin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Elvio Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Sergio Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Apolo Lehoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Bemabe having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Aimar during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Raimundo Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elvio Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Apolo Lehoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Honorato Bemabe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eduardo Silviano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Abreu in the 19th minute. Apolo Lehoi struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Honorato Bemabe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maipú FC. Eduardo Silviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If German Jokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Santio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maipú FC's Eduardo Silviano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Maipú FC from getting a goal against them. Camilo Mendebal's late challenge caught a Maipú FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Mendebal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maipú FC booed when Rivera F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rivera F.C.'s zone, Saverio Lehior stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Bemabe came out of the goal and Saverio Lehior tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Saverio Lehior who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivera F.C.'s Honorato Bemabe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Melchor Semeno fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maipú FC's protests and gave Melchor Semeno a yellow card for diving instead. Eduardo Silviano made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Elvio Abreu sent off a good shot on target. Mario Santio charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Santio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Maipú FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Santio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Lehoi in the 48th minute of play forced Rivera F.C.'s goalkeeper Honorato Bemabe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rivera F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maipú FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saverio Lehior stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Honorato Bemabe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Lehoi in the 54th minute. Apolo Lehoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Honorato Bemabe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Saverio Lehior kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Honorato Bemabe. That made the score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. German Jokin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Eliseo Bembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Lehoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Bemabe having to interfere. Rivera F.C.'s Honorato Bemabe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Lehior in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Rivera F.C.. Eliseo Bembe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eduardo Silviano. 1-2. Eduardo Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Lehoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Bemabe having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Elvio Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Silviano was relentless in the 100th minute of the game. The Rivera F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maipú FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Maipú FC.
