Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Braulio Corderall kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Constantino Celio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meer FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIvErPlATE the free kick. After 2 played minutes Meer FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Celio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Orkatz in the 5th minute of play forced Meer FC's goalkeeper Patricio Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Frutos made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Eusebio Castulo sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 9 minutes, Timoteo Cordeal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Cordeal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Meer FC defense, Arnoldo Salvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patricio Artal. The Meer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patricio Artal should have stopped the shot. Erubiel Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Fernando Frutos came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Meer FC's Braulio Corderall. But to his dismay, Braulio Corderall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Meer FC's Ildefonso Illan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the game, RIvErPlATE's Arnoldo Salvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patricio Artal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Eusebio Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Eusebio Castulo made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Frutos. RIvErPlATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 39th match minute, Meer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Bautista to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Castulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Fernando Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Braulio Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoldo Salvino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the RIvErPlATE defense, Braulio Corderall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Frutos. The RIvErPlATE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Frutos should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute Braulio Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes RIvErPlATE got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Teodor. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Braulio Corderall in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Frutos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Eusebio Castulo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Meer FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Castulo couldn't finish the play. Fernando Frutos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Corderall, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in RIvErPlATE's zone, Eusebio Castulo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Frutos came out of the goal and Eusebio Castulo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Braulio Corderall in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Frutos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Celestino Igon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celestino Igon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Corderall in the 88th minute of play forced RIvErPlATE's goalkeeper Fernando Frutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Meer FC's Constantino Celio got a free kick in the 90th minute. Patricio Artal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Salvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meer FC's Patricio Artal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Meer FC from getting a goal against them. Meer FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
