Inocencio Michael kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Edgard Abechuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Francis in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Eloy Atarratze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inocencio Michael hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Abelardo Quinteros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Atarratze in the 18th minute of the match. When Palavicini's Eloy Atarratze in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Edgard Abechuco made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Amador Oxarra sent off a good shot on target. Eloy Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Abelardo Quinteros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Amador Oxarra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgard Abechuco. The goal made the score 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eloy Atarratze was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Eloy Atarratze kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abelardo Quinteros. That made the score 2-1 in the 54 minute of play. The supporters of Palavicini booed when Belgrano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Bertol didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Palavicini's Felix Etor in action when he in the 61st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Eloy Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Etor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Palavicini's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eloy Atarratze could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Abelardo Quinteros made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Cristian Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Abechuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Mero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Edgard Abechuco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eloy Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eloy Atarratze's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Quinteros was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Belgrano FC's Laureano Bertol got a free kick in the 91st minute. Felix Etor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Abelardo Quinteros made a huge save. Silvano Onofre kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Amador Oxarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Abechuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Etor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Belgrano FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
