Punkers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palavicini the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Punkers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palavicini:s goal. The goalkeeper, Luis Sotero, was totally fooled by Palavicini's Felix Etor, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Luis Sotero made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Silvestre Jobo sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute of the match, Eloy Atarratze tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luis Sotero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Clemente Orixe fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Punkers's protests and gave Clemente Orixe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Punkers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Orixe to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Apolo Tohias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luis Sotero. Apolo Tohias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Punkers's goalkeeper Luis Sotero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Atarratze. When %teams%'s Felix Etor was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 3-0 just inside the left pole, 25 minutes into the game. Luis Sotero was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 28th minute of the match Ruperto Berart shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Sotero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Palavicini booed when Punkers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Etor, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nemesio Ospetsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregorio Hartz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, one of Punkers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Punkers. In the 46th minute, Palavicini's Artemio Guerrero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Atarratze made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Felix Etor made a precise shot to the right of Luis Sotero. Punkers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Luis Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Atarratze in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eloy Atarratze in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Sotero saved Punkers from getting behind. Luis Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Tohias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Atarratze in the 67th minute of play. Luis Sotero came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Palavicini's Clemente Telmo. But to his dismay, Clemente Telmo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Lázaro Mateo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Edgard Abechuco made a huge save. In the 74th minute Eloy Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Punkers's Luis Sotero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Guerrero in the 79th minute of play. Luis Sotero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Guerrero in the 85th minute of the match.
