The referee ignored Patagon's protests and gave Lorenzo Benino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Patagon getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lorenzo Benino hit a great ball. Eusebio Gaztea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgilio Pacorro having to make a save. Ambrosio Casado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Elizardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute Ambrosio Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomero Elizardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Patrido went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Lisandro Lartaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Chabier charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Chabier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Patagon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Chabier to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Pacorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Gaztea in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Patrido in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Elizardo saved BOCA JUNIORS from getting behind. Virgilio Pacorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Gaztea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Elizardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Patrido in the 37th minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Severino Savion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOCA JUNIORS and the Patagon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Severino Savion hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Patrido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomero Elizardo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Baldomero Elizardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Patrido in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Ambrosio Casado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomero Elizardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The BOCA JUNIORS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Patagon were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Gaztea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute of the match, Edgardo Loren sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Virgilio Pacorro showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Dante Felipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Pacorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Baldomero Elizardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Patrido. In the 68th match minute, Patagon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Benino to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Pacorro having to interfere. Baldomero Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Patrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Severino Savion got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 92nd minute, Cipriano Patrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
