Cirilo Kimetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Benet having to interfere. Epifanio Benet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Dantel's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Epifanio Benet came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by San Pedro FC's Nestor Fernendo. But to his dismay, Nestor Fernendo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 25th minute, Jesus Dantel made a precise shot to the right of Epifanio Benet. La Academia de Tincho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Elias Vistruario was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Jesus Dantel put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Epifanio Benet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesus Dantel in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Benet saved La Academia de Tincho from getting behind. Nestor Fernendo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Epifanio Benet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor Fernendo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jesus Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Esteban Ur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Ur made a kick off. After some careless play in the La Academia de Tincho defense, Jesus Dantel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Benet. The La Academia de Tincho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Benet should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jesus Dantel managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Pedro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Dantel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Benet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute, Maximiliano Ciceron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over San Pedro FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Academia de Tincho throughout the match.
