If Ermegildo Kismi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Juan Quin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Gines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Tipi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Juan Quin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Jerrald having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Laurentzi in the 24th minute of play forced maty's goalkeeper Marcelo Jerrald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Raul Gines managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when maty's Ermegildo Kismi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th minute, Juan Quin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Jerrald was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Raul Gines came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by maty's Ermegildo Kismi. But to his dismay, Ermegildo Kismi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 40 played minutes maty got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Isadore. In the 42nd minute, maty's Valentin George seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valentin George the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of maty protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valentin George had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of maty:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for maty. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Wessex. Elvio Totakoxe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcelo Jerrald. 1-2. In the 47th match minute, maty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Iratzeder to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermegildo Kismi was the one to do the kick off. If Juan Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Quin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Quin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Jerrald having to interfere. Wessex's Guaberto Laurentzi got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wessex's Juan Quin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ermegildo Kismi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Gines having to interfere. After some careless play in the Wessex defense, Ermegildo Kismi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Gines. The Wessex fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Gines should have stopped the shot. Ermegildo Kismi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Raul Gines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Wessex getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Denis Lohitzun hit a great ball. If Juan Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Wessex's Guaberto Laurentzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Jerrald made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The Wessex supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wessex would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
