After a defensive mix-up in Los Gordos FC's zone, Emilio Bras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Txomin came out of the goal and Emilio Bras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Genaro Oihenarte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Txomin skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Emilio Bras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Los Gordos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Timo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amador Alonso in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Txomin saved Los Gordos FC from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amador Alonso to make the kick off.
