The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Deportivo Libanés's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Txerran came free, but Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 played minutes Deportivo Libanés got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Ungr. Deportivo Libanés's Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Tajo in the 8th minute of play. When Salem Van De Putts fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Libanés's protests and gave Salem Van De Putts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Salem Van De Putts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Txerran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Viator charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosendo Viator the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Eusebio Constancio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pantera Rosa Club's Urbano Sadurni didn't even have to move. Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Txerran in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Libanés's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Severo Tajo was slow to take the kick. During this time Pantera Rosa Club's players had a chance to rest. In the 46th minute Eleuterio Txerran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernán Crespin was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Libanés's Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Libanés from getting a goal against them. Eleuterio Txerran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Eleuterio Txerran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pantera Rosa Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Txerran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Deportivo Libanés getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Eusebio Constancio hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, Deportivo Libanés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Hydén to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Hernán Crespin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbano Sadurni. Pantera Rosa Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernán Crespin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Pantera Rosa Club were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
