An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Presebal in the 6th minute of play forced Independiente Mza's goalkeeper Dráuzio Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente Mza's Dráuzio Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Presebal in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cornelio Presebal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráuzio Marques was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Leandro Feliu put in a rough tackle. In the 37th match minute, emimorano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Feliu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, emimorano's Gavino Stephen got control of the ball when Abel Gonza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dráuzio Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Presebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Oliverio to make the kick off. emimorano's Virgilio Benat got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornelio Presebal during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
