In the 13th minute, Antonio Gelacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente Mza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dráuzio Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Unai, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gogo Oliverio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristo Tebaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Oliverio in the 27th minute of play. Geronimo Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Marques having to interfere. In the 46th minute of the match Ricardo Oihan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dráuzio Marques skillfully saved the ball. Christian Columbo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Unai in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráuzio Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guido Unai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dráuzio Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Independiente Mza's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Jobo came free, but Dráuzio Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente Mza's Dráuzio Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Jobo in the 62nd minute of play. Antonio Gelacio in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristo Tebaldo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristo Tebaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Oliverio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
