Laboulaye's Tadeo Bastia got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Merexildo charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Merexildo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes CSyD José C. Paz got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Merexildo. After a rather tough play, Laboulaye's Claudio Mel got a free kick in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Mel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesar Montel. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Enrique Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Herrera in the 19th minute of the match. Tadeo Bastia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 24 minutes, Fabian Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSyD José C. Paz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Dolfos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, CSyD José C. Laboulaye's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anier Herrera made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Rene Grabiel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Enrique Stephen, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of CSyD José C. Paz booed when Laboulaye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Gergori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Victorio Hori sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Stephen skillfully saved the ball. If Fabian Dolfos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Gergori kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Laboulaye's Enrique Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Herrera in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Laboulaye getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Serafin Uhin hit a great ball. Anier Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Grabiel might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Stephen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Grabiel ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Claudio Mel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laboulaye's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Mel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Montel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Laboulaye were victorious despite being under pressure from CSyD José C. Paz for much of the match.
