After 26 played minutes, Brea's Teodoro Diagur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enrique Stephen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brea reached it. Enrique Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Bordat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cayetano Bordat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Brea's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Bastia came free, but Stelian Tomoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Bastia in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stelian Tomoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Enrique Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Serafin Uhin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laboulaye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brea the free kick. Cayetano Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Stephen having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Santos Nikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Teodoro Diagur from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Enrique Stephen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Claudio Mel came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Laboulaye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Mel couldn't finish the play. Tadeo Bastia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Brea's zone, Tadeo Bastia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stelian Tomoiu came out of the goal and Tadeo Bastia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Laboulaye's Enrique Stephen got control of the ball when Amancio Ted tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stelian Tomoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Bastia in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Laboulaye's Tadeo Bastia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stelian Tomoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stelian Tomoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Mel, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Bastia in the 78th minute of play forced Brea's goalkeeper Stelian Tomoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Brea's Amancio Ted sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Stephen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Laboulaye's zone, Amancio Ted stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Stephen came out of the goal and Amancio Ted tried to chip the ball over his head.
