The supporters of Gambeta Palomera FC booed when Antapoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Nayely didn't get a good kick on the ball. Placido Jusepe's late challenge caught a Gambeta Palomera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Jusepe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Antapoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Jusepe to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Gambeta Palomera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Cordarius came free, but Eliseo Nataniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Nataniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Acevedo went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pablo Maties made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Omar Odilon sent off a good shot on target. Dionisio Baleren kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Matias Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Acevedo succeeded in the game's 37th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 43rd minute, Arnaldo Cordarius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnaldo Cordarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gambeta Palomera FC's Osvaldo Mincho got a free kick in the 47th minute. If Arnaldo Cordarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 58th minute, Antapoca's Feliberto Salvadore ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseo Nataniel. Pablo Maties stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Jakue's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gambeta Palomera FC's zone, Mariano Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Nataniel came out of the goal and Mariano Acevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 68 minutes on the clock, Julio Ponce commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Antapoca fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Gambeta Palomera FC a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ivan Weterio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Antapoca's Pablo Maties. 1-3. 73 minutes into the game, Cecilio Eutropio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gambeta Palomera FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antapoca the free kick. After 73 played minutes Gambeta Palomera FC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Eutropio. When Omar Odilon came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Gambeta Palomera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Odilon couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Rene Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gambeta Palomera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Jakue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Cordarius struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Eliseo Nataniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antapoca. In the 97th minute, Arnaldo Cordarius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antapoca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
