A wasted opportunity for Real Suciedad. 10 minutes into the game, Luisito Blasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a rather tough play, La Cumbancha Volante's Fidel Ignazio got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jonathan Colas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Suciedad's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Colas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Txurio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Abeita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Checa having to interfere. A collision led to La Cumbancha Volante getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Luisito Blasco hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Garin in the 26th minute of play forced La Cumbancha Volante's goalkeeper Leandro Txurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Txurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Garin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Leandro Txurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Garin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Real Suciedad getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jaime Ospetsu hit a great ball. Leandro Txurio came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Suciedad's Generoso Bernaldo. But to his dismay, Generoso Bernaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Bernaldo in the 47th minute of play forced La Cumbancha Volante's goalkeeper Leandro Txurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Larra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leandro Txurio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Txindoki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Generoso Bernaldo in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Txurio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Real Suciedad booed when La Cumbancha Volante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Perrando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Suciedad's Jonathan Colas got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leandro Txurio made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Rigoberto Garin sent off a good shot on target. Leandro Txurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Dantel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
