Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Eustaquio Lixandro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the match, Metal Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Bixintxo came free, but Rigoberto Fiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mauricio Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Metal Fútbol Club booed when Associazione S. Cornetti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Martxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Lixandro in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Metal Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Lixandro to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Rigoberto Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Esiquio in the 22nd minute of the match. Florencio Tristan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rigoberto Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Associazione S. Cornetti's Baltasar Martxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Montrel in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Evaristo Montrel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baltasar Martxot. Associazione S. Cornetti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Montrel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Baltasar Martxot made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Mauricio Frederico sent off a good shot on target. Mauricio Frederico came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Baltasar Martxot could save by the left post. Edgard Mikelats's late challenge caught a Associazione S. Cornetti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Mikelats helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Martinez to make the kick off. If Aristides Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Fiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Manni in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Frederico in the 54th minute of play forced Associazione S. Cornetti's goalkeeper Baltasar Martxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Associazione S. Cornetti's Alfredo Martinez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Fiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alfredo Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Mauricio Frederico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Martxot was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Aristides Esiquio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rigoberto Fiz. That made the score 2-3 in the 65 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinicio Mundo during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Associazione S. Cornetti getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vinicio Mundo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Metal Fútbol Club defense, Eduardo Manni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Fiz. The Metal Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Fiz should have stopped the shot. Baltasar Martxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Raymon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 played minutes, Associazione S. Cornetti's Americo Etxeberri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rigoberto Fiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Associazione S. Cornetti reached it. The Associazione S. Cornetti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Associazione S. Cornetti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
