The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Red Bull getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Erasmo Quirze hit a great ball. Teodosio Selmo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Teodoro Llin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Melander struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ramiro Petrigai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA AKD FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Melander in the 11th minute of play forced Red Bull's goalkeeper Ramiro Petrigai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Red Bull's Evaristo Azibar got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Rosendo Abadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes LA AKD FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Steven. In the 33rd minute Simon Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Petrigai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Marcial Umea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute of the match Victorino Vermudo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Quinten skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodosio Selmo got free with Angel Quinten in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Erasmo Quirze came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Red Bull fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Quirze couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Melander to make the kick off. If Filomeno Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Petrigai made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Simon Melander sent off a good shot on target. Simon Melander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Petrigai having to interfere. Evaristo Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Eustacio Lander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute of the game, Robustiano Chumo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Erasmo Quirze's late challenge caught a LA AKD FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Quirze helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LA AKD FC booed when Red Bull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Quirze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Petrigai having to interfere. If Benicio Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Chago in the 83rd minute of play forced Red Bull's goalkeeper Ramiro Petrigai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evaristo Azibar during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Red Bull getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Evaristo Azibar hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Eustacio Lander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Quirze in the 93rd minute of play. The LA AKD FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
