In the 12thth minute of the game Mateo Azibar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinillo's Pastor Normando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Wilfredo Terciero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grütly FC's Moises Serafo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Moises Serafo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wilfredo Terciero came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Espinillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Terciero couldn't finish the play. Pastor Normando was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Mateo Azibar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mateo Azibar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mateo Azibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pastor Normando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Edgardo Thomas in the 32nd minute really tested Pastor Normando's skills. Moises Serafo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Vachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Wilfredo Terciero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Vachon to make the kick off.
