The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simon Celino had several of the Mr. Popo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Arnoldo Manny as he didn't even see the shot coming. Paulino Araoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olimpiu Dudea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Simon Celino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Manny having to interfere. Vicente Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Arnoldo Manny made a huge save. Mr. Popo's Arnoldo Manny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Celino in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A.QUEMERO defense, Paulino Araoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olimpiu Dudea. The C.A.QUEMERO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olimpiu Dudea should have stopped the shot. Jacobo Lizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Olimpiu Dudea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Manny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Celino, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Simon Celino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Fe in the 33rd minute of play forced Mr. Popo's goalkeeper Arnoldo Manny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Dudea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Araoz in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Cleto Gorosti sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C.A.QUEMERO's Olimpiu Dudea didn't even have to move. Jacobo Lizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Paulino Araoz made the kick off in the second half. Feliciano Fe charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliciano Fe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C.A.QUEMERO's Feliciano Fe got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, C.A.QUEMERO's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Araoz came free, but Olimpiu Dudea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoldo Manny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Celino's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Txerran during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Clodoveo Txerran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Mr. Popo's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Azevedo came free, but Arnoldo Manny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the C.A.QUEMERO defense, Jacobo Lizar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olimpiu Dudea. The C.A.QUEMERO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olimpiu Dudea should have stopped the shot. Feliciano Fe hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.QUEMERO's goalkeeper Olimpiu Dudea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Jacobo Lizar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Olimpiu Dudea, 1-3. Arnoldo Manny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Celino's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The C.A.QUEMERO supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mr. Popo's performance. The match ended with a win for Mr. Popo.
