With a little luck, Club Atlético Gatorei's Ovidio Acuña got control of the ball when Federico Erlantz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jagüé AFC's Esteve Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Ondino in the 22nd minute of play. Ovidio Acuña yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Gatorei's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Erlantz came free, but Ovidio Acuña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Guaberto Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jagüé AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Acuña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Erlantz to make the kick off. If Federico Erlantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Baldomero Urtsin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Omero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Eufrasio hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Federico Erlantz might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Acuña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Erlantz ran back to his position shaking his head. Ovidio Acuña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Erlantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Federico Sol was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. The supporters of Jagüé AFC booed when Club Atlético Gatorei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Sol didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Erlantz in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidio Acuña saved Club Atlético Gatorei from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Federico Erlantz made a precise shot to the right of Ovidio Acuña. Club Atlético Gatorei's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jagüé AFC's Fausto Tavio got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adrian Ebardo fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jagüé AFC's protests and gave Adrian Ebardo a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Jagüé AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ebardo. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jagüé AFC had played much better football throughout.
