After 3 minutes of play, Gordoneta FC's Celso Lucero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Camerino was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Narváez getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Desiderio Distiratsu hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Gordoneta FC's goalkeeper Maurinho de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Argoitz. After 9 played minutes Narváez got a freekick which was hit by Amado Chaime. In the 11th minute, Gordoneta FC's Angelino Paz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angelino Paz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gordoneta FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelino Paz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Maurinho de Lima, was totally fooled by Narváez's Cleto Firmo, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 16 minutes into the match, Gordoneta FC's goalkeeper Maurinho de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Desiderio Distiratsu. Maurinho de Lima came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Narváez's Desiderio Distiratsu. But to his dismay, Desiderio Distiratsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Siro Eliazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Maurinho de Lima made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Narváez's zone, Ismael Pelagius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Camerino came out of the goal and Ismael Pelagius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narváez's Damian Camerino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Oriche in the 40th minute of play. Damian Camerino came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Gordoneta FC's Raimundo Oriche. But to his dismay, Raimundo Oriche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Ismael Pelagius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Narváez's zone, Ismael Pelagius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Camerino came out of the goal and Ismael Pelagius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurinho de Lima was a little too slow when Cesar Argoitz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesar Argoitz to make the kick off. Damian Camerino made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Cipriano Raebert sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, Gordoneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Argoitz came free, but Maurinho de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Argoitz in the 62nd minute of play forced Gordoneta FC's goalkeeper Maurinho de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute of the match, Alonzo Ireno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Damian Camerino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cipriano Raebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Pelagius in the 70th minute of play forced Narváez's goalkeeper Damian Camerino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordoneta FC were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Narváez's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nunez Eguntsenti took the corner. Nunez Eguntsenti made a great header on Gordoneta FC's corner, it was just that Narváez's Damian Camerino managed to reach the ball for a save. Damian Camerino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Pelagius in the 73rd minute of play. Damian Camerino came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Gordoneta FC's Conrado Nel. But to his dismay, Conrado Nel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The supporters of Narváez booed when Gordoneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Lucero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurinho de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Distiratsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Siro Eliazar came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Narváez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Eliazar couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Raimundo Oriche fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ismael Pelagius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Damian Camerino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gordoneta FC's Nunez Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 98th minute. If Desiderio Distiratsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gordoneta FC played a much better game than Narváez and deserved their victory. The Narváez players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
