With a little luck, NDI FC's Hector Bastian got control of the ball when Gaspar Luzea tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to NDI FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Hector Bastian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Jerano in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Orain in the 14th minute of play forced NDI FC's goalkeeper Hector Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Jerano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Hector Bastian made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Truylos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. NDI FC's Hector Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save NDI FC from getting a goal against them. Hector Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Orain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Truylos in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Macerio saved PierRock from getting behind. Hector Bastian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Jerano in the 47th minute.
NDI FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ramiro Peio in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, NDI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Francesco to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, PierRock's Fulgencio Jerano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Bastian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. PierRock had won after a very even match.
