Emanuel Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Chico in the 3rd minute of the match. Bonifacio Donostia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Lartaun in the 7th minute of play. Niceto Ibañez charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niceto Ibañez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Niceto Ibañez hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Froilan Lartaun scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bonifacio Donostia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerardo Gumaro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Hugo Peter's late challenge caught a Rueda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Peter helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Peter hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Gonzalo Chico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Valentin Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerli FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Nofre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Sancho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th match minute, Gerli FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Baumar to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Gonzalo Chico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Chico was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Rueda getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Ulises Vasco hit a great ball. In the 53rd match minute, Rueda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Lertxun to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the game, Alejo Malvin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerli FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rueda the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gerli FC's Alejo Malvin got a free kick in the 55th minute. Valentin Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Sancho having to interfere. When Dante Lertxun came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Rueda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Lertxun couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gerli FC booed when Rueda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Gerli FC's Gonzalo Chico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Sancho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Emanuel Sancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Nofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Nofre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Oliveiro in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Donostia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute Gonzalo Chico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Rueda's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Nofre came free, but Emanuel Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rueda succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gerli FC had controlled the match.
