Octavio Nerio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Elia in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Abofeteame la Burra F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gaston Rioja hit a great ball. If Donato Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Donato Benet came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Los Jibaros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Benet couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes in the game, Donato Benet fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Octavio Nerio having to interfere. With his leg Octavio Nerio managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Los Jibaros's Ubaldo Cordarryl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Los Jibaros booed when Abofeteame la Burra F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Nerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Cordarryl in the 69th minute of play. Danilo Neron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Fernan Tanio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 76th minute Ubaldo Cordarryl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernan Tanio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Polentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernan Tanio was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Saul Polentzi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Saul Polentzi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Danilo Neron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fernan Tanio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abofeteame la Burra F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
