Mariano Beturian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose Nicholas in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Beturian saved Menucos from getting behind. Ramiro Montel might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Beturian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Montel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute, Godofredo Edorta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
