Guaberto Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Eloy Sancho made a huge save. In the 12th minute of the match Gonzalo Rainerio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hipolito Rubio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Lorenzo Llope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elpidio Frasquito hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Llope struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Eloy Sancho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PUMA FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Vargas got free with Eloy Sancho in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. PUMA FC's Lorenzo Llope got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, club-a-boca-junior's Freddy Sustrai got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 22 played minutes club-a-boca-junior got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Oihan. Hipolito Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Sustrai in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Guaberto Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of PUMA FC booed when club-a-boca-junior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eloy Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Llope in the 34th minute of the match. Lorenzo Llope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Sancho having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, club-a-boca-junior's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Llope came free, but Eloy Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, PUMA FC's Guaberto Vargas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Sancho was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes PUMA FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Santana. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Honorato Etxahun might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Sancho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Honorato Etxahun ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 54 minutes, Lorenzo Llope managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PUMA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Llope was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes club-a-boca-junior got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Rainerio. 61 minutes into the game, Freddy Sustrai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. club-a-boca-junior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PUMA FC the free kick. Freddy Sustrai kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Lorenzo Llope who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but club-a-boca-junior's Eloy Sancho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gonzalo Rainerio fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored club-a-boca-junior's protests and gave Gonzalo Rainerio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, club-a-boca-junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Rainerio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 76 minutes, Guaberto Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
