The crowd rose to their feet as Atilano Tonio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lázaro Gaitano. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Merlo fc's Ciro Jusepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lázaro Gaitano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomás Fero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Oalo having to interfere. Jonathan Oalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Fero in the 12th minute of play. Lázaro Gaitano made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ciro Jusepe sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in CluB a7le7ico Belgrano's zone, Atilano Tonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lázaro Gaitano came out of the goal and Atilano Tonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciro Jusepes short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Lázaro Gaitano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Tonio in the 33rd minute of play forced CluB a7le7ico Belgrano's goalkeeper Lázaro Gaitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Merlo fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Fero came free, but Jonathan Oalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Eloy Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CluB a7le7ico Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When CluB a7le7ico Belgrano's Eloy Barbosa in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Barbosa made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Francisco Azeari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merlo fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CluB a7le7ico Belgrano the free kick. A collision led to Merlo fc getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Francisco Azeari hit a great ball. CluB a7le7ico Belgrano's Honorato Gabrio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Oalo but with some difficulty. If Tomás Fero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eloy Barbosa in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Oalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the game, Tomás Fero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jonathan Oalo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute, Eloy Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Atilano Tonio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merlo fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 76 minutes into the game, Tomás Fero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jonathan Oalo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Atilano Tonio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merlo fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilano Tonio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lázaro Gaitano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Merlo fc booed when CluB a7le7ico Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ciro Jusepe came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Merlo fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Jusepe couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CluB a7le7ico Belgrano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
