The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fortuna's Artemio Confesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Castulo in the 4th minute of play. Benigno Euloxu made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Domingo Pudes sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Enrique Liher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benigno Euloxu was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Benigno Euloxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Liher's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. El Fortin's Benigno Euloxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Liher in the 20th minute of play. Artemio Confesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tomás Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Liher in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Euloxu saved El Fortin from getting behind. Fortuna's Artemio Confesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Alonso in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes El Fortin got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Perico. Artemio Confesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Telesforo in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Castulo made a kick off. Artemio Confesor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Castulo in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Fortuna booed when El Fortin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Goren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo Pudes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Euloxu having to interfere. Domingo Pudes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benigno Euloxu having to make a save. In the 68th minute, Nicasio Javiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Euloxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Pudes in the 71st minute of play forced El Fortin's goalkeeper Benigno Euloxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Fortin's Benigno Euloxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Liher in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fortuna's goalkeeper Artemio Confesor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Domingo Pudes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Liher in the 96th minute of play forced El Fortin's goalkeeper Benigno Euloxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fortuna fully deserved thier win.
