Marcelo Montxo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Gelacio in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Marcelo Leobardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cumanita's Ovidio Baumar got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Segundo Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Mariano Nel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Cumanita defense, Mariano Figueroa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Nel. The Cumanita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Nel should have stopped the shot.
